21/09-1 APOLOGIES AND REASONS FOR ABSENCE
There were none.
21/09-2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were none.
21/09-3 PUBLIC FORUM
It was resolved to suspend standing orders to allow members of the public to speak.
A member of the public stated that minutes should be on the website 4 weeks after the meeting, the speeding signs had not been moved and that the churchyard was not a Council matter.
21/09-4 CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
The minutes of the following meeting was resolved as a true and correct record of that which took place.
Council Meeting 21 July 2021
These were proposed by Cllr Green and seconded by Cllr Gregson, all in favour by those that attended, following a correction to the location of the requested streetlight.
21/09-5 FINANCIAL MATTERS
It was noted that a £10 charge had been made by the bank for a cancelled cheque. This was being queried by Cllr Gregson as the bank had cancelled it.
The following payments were resolved for payment as proposed by Cllr Thompson and seconded by Cllr Green, all in favour.

The banking reconciliation up to the end of June was presented, a more up to date position would be reported next time, now that statements were available.
HSBC were ending “Community Accounts” from 1 November 2021. This meant that the current account would become a “Small Business Account” and a charge of £8 per month would be made. It was resolved that the Clerk look into alternative accounts and report back at the next meeting, as proposed by Cllr Green and seconded by Cllr Thompson, all in favour.
Two quotes for the repair of the slide had been received, Land Building Services £700 and Peak Playgrounds Ltd £990. Due to the urgent nature of the repairs, it had been agreed to accept the quote from Land Building Services prior to the meeting and this approach was ratified at the meeting as proposed by Cllr Green and seconded by Cllr Thompson, all in favour.
21/09-6 REVISED ASSET REGISTER
The Clerk presented a revised Asset Register.
It was confirmed that values on the register were the purchase price and this did not necessarily match the insurance valuation.
The revised Asset Register was resolved as accepted, as proposed by Cllr Green and seconded by Cllr Gregson, all in favour.
21/09-7 REPORTS FROM REPRESENTATIVES OF OUTSIDE BODIES
The Village Hall Management Committee had raised an issue with the Council’s shed and this would be looked at by the Chairman..
21/09-8 UPDATES FROM COUNTY AND DISTRICT COUNCILLORS
Cllr Rawlins had sent an update of flooding issues that stated that a job had been raised with the contractor.
It was pointed out that no indication of timescale was given and that the drains would start to get filled with leaves as autumn approaches.
The Clerk was asked to raised with Joe Phillips, the Area Manager, to try and get things moving.
21/09-9 COUNCILLOR AND RESIDENTS ISSUES
The second meeting of Councillors and residents had not been well attended. Other options were considered and a coffee morning, instead of an evening meeting, would be trialled, two weeks before the next Council meeting.
A resident had raised an issue with the condition of the churchyard and a grave of a relative and wondered if the Council could help. It was stressed that the area is maintained by volunteers, but the grave in question would be looked at by them.
21/09-10 PLAYING FIELD AND PLAYGROUND ANNUAL INSPECTION
Cllr Dickinson was thanked for repairing the gate post to the playing field.
Wicksteed had been approached to undertake the annual playground inspections and will inform the Clerk when this will take place.
21/10-11 SPEEDING ISSUES
Cllr Thompson had not met with the Road Safety Partnership yet, and will report back when he has.
Some other areas were getting power to new signs as they were being installed, and Cllr Thompson would be enquiring about this for Faldingworth.
21/10-12 NEW LITTER BIN A46
WLDC had replied with a quote for a new bin in the A46 lay-by.
The Council were disappointed that WLDC were not installing free of charge.
It was resolved to go for the £105+VAT option, that included bin, post and materials, as proposed by Cllr Green and seconded by Cllr Gregson, all in favour.
WLDC will then empty the bins as part of their regular routes.
21/11-13 CLERK REVIEW
A review with the Clerk would be undertaken prior to the next meeting, this would be undertaken by Cllr Green and Cllr Thompson.
21/12-14 CORRESPONDENCE & UPDATES ON PREVIOUS ACTIONS
Planning enforcement were looking into the encroachment by a new development.
The reported overgrown public footpaths were being looked into by LCC.
It was hoped that the repair work to the slide would take place in the next week or so.
LALC had still not set the Clerk up on their system yet.
A revised Risk Register would come to the next meeting.
Responsibility of the defibrillator at the Village Hall was discussed and the Chairman would look into this.
21/13-15 PLANNING MATTERS
There were none.
It was noted that there were concerns about the change of a HGV Operators Licence that might have an impact on the area, however, Parish Councils are not able to object to these matters. LCC had been asked for their assistance but there had been no reply as yet.
21/14-16 ANY URGENT ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
There were none.
