MINUTES of the Parish council meeting of
Faldingworth Parish Council
held remotely on Wednesday 18 November 2020
Present Cllrs T Howard (Chair), D Waine (Vice-Chair), S Harkins, W Green, D Dickinson, A Lillywhite and P Gregson
Clerk Sue Aikman.
Also present: 1 member of the public
20/11/01 To resolve to accept apologies and reasons for absence
None
20/11/02 Declarations of Interest
Cllr Dickinson declared an interest in planning matters and would take no part in discussions or decisions on this matter
20/11/03 To receive reports from representatives on outside bodies
Cllr Howard gave a summary of the Memorial Hall Committee meeting held on 11th November 2020:
- A large television on a mobile stand had been installed
- Covid 19 precautions had been put in place including a QR code and contactless payments
- The bar had been open on Saturday evenings prior to the recent lockdown
- Fruit and vegetables were available for sale most mornings
- The hall fire inspection was passed
- Amendments to the Constitution had been agreed
20/11/04 Public Forum
A member of the public raised concerns that communications he had sent to District and County Councillors had not been answered. The documents would be sent to the Clerk so that they could be followed up with the Councillors.
A question was asked about the procurement of printer ink, the Clerk would look at alternative options.
20/11/05 NOTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held on 7 October 2020 be approved and signed as minutes.
20/11/06 TO CONSIDER ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NEW WEBSITE
The Clerk asked Councillors to review the new website and advise of any additional information that they would like including.
20/11/07 TO CONSIDER MOVING INTO CLOSED SESSION – Staff review
Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED to move into closed session. The member of the public and the Clerk left the meeting.
The Clerk and the member of the public re-joined the meeting.
Due to connectivity problems the Chair closed the meeting and another meeting was to be planned for Tuesday 24th November. The meeting closed at 8pm

Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held on 18 November 2020 be approved and signed as minutes.
20/11/13 TO CONSIDER ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR REMOTE MEETINGS
It was agreed that there were no further requirements at this time.
20/11/14 TO CONSIDER MOVING INTO CLOSED SESSION – Staff review
Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED to move into closed session. The Clerk left the meeting.
The Clerk re-joined the meeting.
20/11/15 Financial Matters
- To approve accounts for payment.

- To consider the requirements for grass cutting during 2021
Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED to accept the quotation from the existing contractor for 2021.
- To consider the need for additional IT equipment
The Clerk would obtain quotes for a replacement laptop, to be considered at the next meeting.
- To consider any additional proposals for 2021 that may impact on the budget
None.
- To consider the proposed budget and precept for 2021/22
A discussion was held and views raised that any increase in precept should be kept to a minimum due to the current pandemic.
- To complete the precept estimate to be sent to WLDC
Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED that the Clerk would send in an estimate of precept requirements at £9730 which was an increase of 1.35%

20/11/17 PLANNING MATTERS
APPLICATION REFERENCE NO: 141854
PROPOSAL: Creation of agricultural access land..
LOCATION: Orchard Farm, Spridlington Road, Faldingworth
Concerns were raised about visibility, slow moving traffic exiting onto the A46 and the potential for mud from farm vehicles being deposited on the A46. The Clerk would respond to WLDC to raise these concerns on this planning application.
