Minutes of the Parish council meeting of

Faldingworth Parish Council

held on Wednesday 20 March 2019

 in the MEMORIAL HALL, faldingworth

19/03/01     To resolve to accept apologies and reasons for absence

19/03/03    To receive reports from representatives on outside bodies

The Police reported that a house on Spridlington Road had a container which had been broken into and that tools and pressure washers had been stolen.

The investigation into the vandalism of the hedge on Boundary Walk, was still on going.

 

The Council Representative on the Village Hall Committee reported that its last meeting had been held to sort out administration issues.

 

19/03/04    Public Forum

Members of the public raised concerns about the speed limit passed Jubilee Avenue and the difficulties of crossing the road to the bus stop which is located on the opposite side of the A46 to the estate. They also considered it difficult to cross the A46 when taking children to school. It was also stated that they had observed a traffic monitoring unit that had been set up, for a few days, to record the traffic flow and speed, on the A46 near Jubilee Avenue.

Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held on 16 January 2019 be approved and signed as minutes.

19/03/09    TO REPORT ON DAMAGE TO THE PALY AREA HEDGE AND CONSIDER PROPOSALS

                   FOR MAINTAINING THE SECURITY OF THE PLAY AREA                    

                   It was considered probable that the vandalised hedge could recover and that the cost of any additional fencing would be high. It was therefore RESOLVED to ask the contractor who installed the gate post, to examine the existing fence and establish if it feasible to repair and restore it.
 

19/03/10    TO CONSIDER ANY FEEDBACK REGARDING CORRESPONDENCE ON SPEED CONTROL                IN THE PARISH

                   The Parish Council would try to arrange a site meeting through the LCC to arrange a                     meeting with Highways regarding Traffic Regulations and LR Orders.
 

19/03/11    TO CONSIDER ANY POSSIBLE FURTHER ACTIONS FOLLOWING A COMPLAINT FROM A                     RESIDENT ABOUT DOG MESS ON THE PLAYING FIELD.

                   Following a vote it was unanimously RESOLVED to erect a larger NO DOGS ALLOWED sign at the entrance to the playing field.
 

19/03/12    TO CONSIDER A REQUEST FROM THE MEMORIAL HALL COMMITTEE TO HOLD A                     BARBECUE ON THE MEMORIAL HALL CARPARK.

                   The Parish Council is not covered for the car park, but the barbecue could be held if the

                   Appropriate Insurance and Risk Assessment are provided to the PC.
